Happy or Sad?

Should a mom be happy that their children are going back to school in a week? Or sad?

I have so many mixed feelings. I will have one in 2nd grade and she is so excited to get back in the swing of things and then my son will be in K. Time has flown by with their childhood. Partly because of having 2 more babies!! I also have a one starting preschool. I don't want to squash their excitement so I just smile when we talke about school. We are off in a few minutes getting last minute supplies. Maybe shopping will change my excitment about it all!!! :)

Maybe it is because we get super busy with scouts, soccer, religious education classes, meetings, swimming, the list goes on.... that I don't look forward to the start of school. Where are the lazy days of summer gone too?

Just my radom thoughts!

Pre-premit from the township!!

We got it. Thanks to my hubby who has spent countless hours on his computer, we have finished the drawings. He took a 1/2 hour off this AM and went to the township and spoke with Don. He approved the drawings and will be out sometime today to give us the pre-permit sticker. We bring that back with our check book and will have the township permit. Next, is the county. We hear that is much easier to get!! One weight has been lifted off of our shoulders!! I have called the bank to get ready to sign the papers for the $, which we have been preapproved. It feels so good to finally get going on this project!!

Sam and Laci's Wedding

We had a wonderful time. The weather turned out beautiful and everyone did a wonderful job. I am so proud of Allison. She was a big girl and didn't fuss at all!!

Strike 2!

Once again, I was turned away from the township. They want these detail drawings that we don't know how to do. We are not an a large firm, we are trying to do this addition without paying the high costs of contrators. You would think with the way the economy is, they would want us to add on. More money in their pocket!!! We will keep trying!

Permits Again?

I will be going to the township again today or first thing tomorrow to apply for our permits. Wish us luck!!

Ogemaw Co. Fair

We took the kids to the fair last Friday. They had a blast. We met up with my sister and kids. We toured the pet barns, ate some carnival food, and rode rides! My neice wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel so bad she bought Uncle T his tickets!! Here is a picture of my Jake, T, and Cass on it!

Frustrated!

I took all the kids and went to the township to apply for our permits and they need more than we ourselves are capable of doing-more drawings, etc... Also, we have to all our paperwork by Friday so it can be sent to zoning meeting in Sept!! We wanted to break ground in a couple of weeks, not the end of Sept. Oh well! I hope God hears my prayers tonight because the higher ups make it difficult for anyone to do projects themselves anymore.

We are going forward!!

Tomorrow I will travel to the township and begin our process for our premits. It is scary and exciting at the same time.

We will be adding on the garage fir more living space. It will be made into a living room/den and a computer room/tv room. It will be nice to have some space.

I will keep everyone posted here on the progress!!

Off to bed!
