Jake has a weekly homework coupon that he has to complete 4 items on it. One of these items is a science experiment. He found how to make a volcano from one of library books and begged to experiment. So one night around 8:30 PM instead of showering and getting ready for bed, he make a volcano on the dining room table. He is loving science. The teacher-mom in me said we have to do this even though it was bed time!!
It was about 1 degree out this AM when Ted learned from the TV news that it was the annual ice festival in Plymouth this weekend. We decided it was a beautiful day to get outside. The sun was shining and we could layer our clothing, so we bundled up and drove over. So glad we did! It was gorgeous they way the sculptors created objects out of a block of ice! Here are some pictures that we took that are among our favorites!
What do we do on a cold Saturday? We bake! The girls and I enjoyed making these brownie bites dipped in choc with sprinkles and other sweets on top! I think the girls had a better time licking the spoons and spatulas rather than the baking! These were super easy to make and will make again!!
We had a joyous time with family this Easter weekend. We had an egg hunt, dyed eggs, and Easter dinner with the Grewe side on Saturday and fun with the Zettlel's on Sunday!
Here are some pictures of the kids dying eggs!

I am a mom of 4 wild and crazy kids (10,8,6, and 4). Before kids, I taught 2nd/3rd grade. Now my important job is to be a wife, mother, religious education instrutor, and taxi driver to my childrens activities. I have also taken on the role of a Daisy Leader and a Brownie Co-Leader for this current school year. I am having so much fun with Allison and the 10 other girls in the troop!
