Welcome, Mr. President

This morning the girls and I watched this history making day! I am not sure what they will remember when they are older but I know I will remember!!

Can't wait to hear what Lexi and Jake learned about this today if any. If not, then I will find clips off the internet for them to view!

After school update: All the classrooms had their TV's on to this special event! Jake was so excited to see it! He was telling a lot about it and it was truthful!

Our Day at the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum

The children did not have school today due to the Martin Luther, Jr holiday. So I wanted to have something fun for the them to do. My friend let me know that the Ann Arbor Hand's On Museum had discounted tickets today. Perfect idea! We were going to the movies but quickly changed our minds!! But before we could go, the 3 oldest had dental appointment. That went well. No cavities!! We had over 2 hours of fun at the museum! There is so much to do and see there! Here are a few pictures from today! I hope you enjoy them!

Funny things kids say!

I hear Alli say to Alexis "Hey Lexi, my toothbrush is chit chatting with your toothbrush!"

I am curious what toothbrushes really talk about!!

It is very cold out today. I was up at 2:59 AM with Allison who had a bloody nose and this is what the therometer read:

Then I this is what it said when I got out of the shower this AM! BURR! Needless to say, I drove the kids to the bus stop this morning.

Jake and Ted helping out a neighbor

Sorry for the blurry pictures. I was trying to get Jake and Ted helping out the neighbors. Ted and I are trying to help the kids understand that helping out is a great thing to do. We didn't see our neighbor all weekend and we got about 8 inches of snow in those 2 days. We were finishing up shoveling our own driveway and porch and Ted suggested to Jake they go help out Ms. Lauri. Well that night, she called us asking if we saw anyone shovel/plow her driveway since she went to her parents for dinner. At first we didn't want to tell her but we did! To find out, she is having major back problems from an horse accident years ago and had some injections on Thursday. She wasn't supposed to do much to let it heal. Mr. Tim, her boyfriend, was away all weekend but was headed home to help her shovel out. She was so thankful but best of all you should have seen Jake's grin! He knew he did the right thing!!

Allison's Holiday Party

Finally Christmas came to Bambi! Allison's class missed their holiday party due to a snow day on the last day. She was sad but over came the happiness today! The parents came in early for pick up and watched the kids sing their songs they practiced everyday in December! Oh so cute! They they gave us a present they made and found a surprise-Santa left them a gift at school!!
