While the men were at work, the girls played!

Lexi and I went to Canada for International River Crossing where we met some Girl Scouts from 3 different states (Michigan, Ohio, and, Indiana) and Canada. They had lots planned. First we drove from here to Marine City, MI, caught a short bus ride to the ferry dock, boarded the car ferry for a 5-7 min ferry ride across the Detroit River, and then hiked 1 1/2 miles to a local park. At the park, they had a hunt for flag poles with questions, once answered, the girls got a prize, cake, swaps, parade of flags, blow up slides and bounce house. We packed a sack lunch and ate it under the sun. Over all it was a beautiful day (low 80's). The we caught a bus back to the ferry dock and came back on US ground. We were stuck in custom's for an hour while they checked each girls birth certificate and each adults ID and birth cert! The girls were not pleased with this wait. No where to sit and the sun we still warm. It was one long day (left here at 6:45 AM and returned home at 5:30 PM) but overall a great one!!
This could be the last year they do this walk due the govt ma dating pass ports. Let's hope not!!
